Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo., will hold its spring Commencement with a graduate students’ ceremony on Friday, May 4, and two undergraduate ceremonies on Saturday, May 5, at St. Charles Family Arena.
The graduate students’ ceremony, at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 4, is for students receiving master’s, specialist, and doctoral degrees. A 10 a.m. ceremony on Saturday, May 5, is for students receiving bachelor’s degrees in the schools of Arts, Media, and Communications; Education; Health Sciences; Humanities; and Sciences. A 3 p.m. ceremony on Saturday is for graduates in the School of Accelerated Degree Programs and the Robert W. Plaster School of Business & Entrepreneurship.
“Along with our graduate ceremony, we’re very excited to have two undergraduate commencement ceremonies this spring—it will give each of our graduates a bit more time in the spotlight,” said Dr. Erin Mann, associate provost. “So many of our students are finishing their degrees and graduating that we were bursting at the seams, so now we’ll have more room for family and friends to celebrate with us.”
The university will confer 623 bachelor’s degrees and 294 graduate degrees. Approximately 1,200 students, which includes July and August conferrals as well, are expected to take part in the three ceremonies.
Tickets are not required for guests of graduates to attend the ceremony. Video of the ceremony will be broadcast by Lindenwood’s campus television station, LUTV-HD at Charter Communications channel 989, AT&T U-Verse channel 99, and on LUTV’s YouTube channel.
