Dr. Mira Ezvan, professor of management information systems at Lindenwood University, will continue the university’s 2010-2011 Center for International and Global Studies Speaker Series at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2011, on the main Lindenwood campus. Admission is free.
The speech will be in the Anheuser-Busch Leadership Room, located in Lindenwood’s Spellmann Center, just west of the main campus entrance at Kingshighway and First Capitol Dr. in St. Charles.
Professor Ezvan’s presentation, “Personal Insights under Poland’s Socialist Regime,” will reflect upon her personal experiences from her country of origin, as well as Poland’s local, regional and global political philosophies and their subsequent impact in relation to the rest of the world.
Ezvan joined the Lindenwood University faculty in 1984 and is currently a professor in the School of Business and Entrepreneurship where she is teaching courses in management science and information systems. She earned her master’s in information systems and management from the Technical University of Wroclaw in Poland and her Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. She visits Poland frequently and maintains close ties with her family still residing in Poland.
