Lindenwood University will host the Community Council of St. Charles County’s 36th Annual RSVP Appreciation Banquet at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 15, at the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts. The event, titled “Celebrating a Legacy of Service,” will honor more than 300 volunteers age 55 and over who are currently serving a wide range of non-profit organizations in the county.
“Lindenwood is proud to work with the council to recognize those who selflessly devote their time to the enrichment of St. Charles County and to the betterment of the community in which we live,” said university president James D. Evans, Ph.D.
Guest speakers at the banquet will include Mary Hutchison, director of volunteer programs for the Community Council of St. Charles County; Lucy Morros, Ph.D., vice president for Institutional Advancement at Lindenwood University; Patti York, mayor of the City of St. Charles; State Rep. Anne Zerr, R-Dist. 18; and County Executive Steve Ehlmann. A video titled “Share Your Story” highlighting the impact of volunteerism will also be presented.
Lindenwood University, founded in 1827, is an independent liberal arts university offering 84 undergraduate degree programs and 37 graduate programs in diverse areas of study in traditional and accelerated formats.
Lindenwood operates a residential campus in historic St. Charles, as well as 11 extension sites throughout the St. Louis Metropolitan area.
