Lindenwood University will hold an open house for its new Weldon Spring campus from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4, at 7295 Highway 94 S. At the event, visitors will be able to tour the high-tech facility, talk to faculty and administrators about programs offered there, and even sign up for classes.
The site, located in the Interstate 64 high-tech corridor, will be the location for two new graduate degree offerings in information technology and an IT certificate program, in addition to a selection of undergraduate and graduate business courses. The site was chosen as the location for the new IT programs because of its location in the Interstate 64 high-tech corridor.
New graduate degree available include a master’s in information technology management and an MBA with an emphasis in IT, both for current IT professionals or those holding undergraduate degrees in a variety of IT disciplines. A post-bachelor’s certificate in IT, for students seeking to build computer skills, possibly toward pursuing either of the two master’s degrees, is also available.
All three of these programs are offered in Lindenwood’s accelerated program for working adults—Lindenwood College for Individualized Education (LCIE). The program allows students to take nine credit hours of classes in a single quarter (11 weeks), or up to 36 hours per year, while attending class one night a week.
“LCIE classes are taught by working professionals with current, relevant experience,” said Dan Kemper, dean of the LCIE program. “Students can learn something in class in the evening and use it at work the very next day.”
