Plaster School of Business and Entrepreneurship to Host Dr. Hernando de Soto

The Robert W. Plaster School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Lindenwood University welcomes Dr. Hernando de Soto to the Dunseth Auditorium in Harmon Hall on the St. Charles campus at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27.

President of the Institute for Liberty and Democracy in Lima, Peru, de Soto is the author of The Mystery of Capital: Why Capitalism Triumphs in the West and Fails Everywhere Else.

In addition to applying the lessons of economics to old problems, he has continually asked new questions and provided new understanding and new hope for transforming poverty into wealth. His presentation, “The Future of Globalism,” will focus on capitalism and poverty.
