The BFA in studio art with Missouri K-12 art teacher certification requires 113 credit hours and combines studio art with a minor in education to qualify you for teaching art at the K-12 level. Your coursework will include a studio foundation with two- and three-dimensional design, color theory, drawing, figure drawing, and an introduction to graphic design. You will also have extensive and immersive study in your chosen area of specialization. On top of that, the minor in education will teach you about elementary and secondary art methods, classroom management, educating exceptional children, and many more topics that will prepare you for your career as an educator.
