Lindenwood University sponsors Gateway Science Academy (GSA) to serve the St. Louis community by providing high quality education for students. GSA charter school is a tuition-free, public school governed by an appointed charter school board and funded by state and federal monies.  Lindenwood uses its own extensive and highly recognized School of Education resources to set a framework and expectation of academic excellence for all GSA students.

Gateway Science Academy opened in 2010 to provide a rigorous STEM college preparatory education. Today, GSA serves 1,450 students K-12 at three campuses in south St. Louis.  One of the highest achieving charter schools in St. Louis, GSA’s STEM curriculum empowers students to reach proficient and advanced levels of education in all subject areas.
