Pre-Nursing

Pre-Professional and Minor degrees offered in Traditional formats

Lindenwood University maintains an articulation agreement with Barnes-Jewish College of Nursing (BJCoN) in St. Louis. As a pre-nursing student, you will pursue a two-year course of study at Lindenwood University and then transfer to BJCoN for two years of work leading to the bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) degree.

If you wish to complete the pre-nursing program, you will take the following courses: Concepts of Biology, Nutrition, Human Anatomy and Physiology I, Human Anatomy and Physiology II, Microbiology for Health Sciences, Concepts of Chemistry, English Composition I, English Composition II, Basic Statistics, College Algebra, Principles of Psychology, Human Development, Basic Concepts of Sociology, plus six additional courses to be selected from areas specified in the articulation agreement.

A similar schedule of coursework will prepare you to enter other BSN programs as well. If you are interested in participating in the pre-nursing program, you should meet with a pre-nursing advisor before planning your first semester schedule.
