How do I change my major to Computer Science or Computer Information Systems?

In order to change your major to Computer Science or Computer Information Systems, you will need to do the following steps:

  1. Find a faculty member in the Computer Science / Computer Information Systems program who can serve as your new advisor.
  2. Fill out a Change of Major or Advisor Form,  and have the form signed by your new advisor.
  3. Submit the form to the office of Academic Services in Roemer Hall.

When should I select a CSC Faculty member as my advisor?

Many freshmen will be assigned an advisor in Mathematics for their first year of studies at Lindenwood University.  Students who are not assigned a Computer Science Faculty member as their advisor should consider switching their advisor to one of the CSC Faculty during their Sophomore year.  This is necessary so that the student can be provided with advising by one of the CSC Faculty who is fully aware of all of the Computer Science and Computer Information Systems program requirements, and who can help that student navigate the many intricacies of class scheduling in order to meet all program requirements for their degree.
