Data Set Project
The Eastern District of Missouri U.S. Federal Probation Office has awarded the Hammond Institute a grant of $25,000 to create quantitative data sets from the qualitative information collected by the Probation Office. The Hammond Institute is providing matching funds for the ongoing costs of the project, which aims to make a large number of previously unavailable data sets available to criminal justice researchers. The three projects cover sex offender recidivism, the effects of veterans' courts, and methamphetamine use and mental illness. Stay tuned.
