Important Announcement for School Counselor Certification Applicants!!
Jan Harcourt, Supervisor of Educator Certification at DESE, has informed Lindenwood Certification Officer, Amy Fasnut that several applications for certification have been held up due to the need for a recent background check. DESE must obtain with your application packet the proper background check that has been done within six months of the time of application for certification. The company that provides their required background check is called IBT (formerly Identix). They can be reached via phone at 1-866-522-7067 or you can obtain their information form by clicking here. School counselor candidates should call to make an appointment to get their fingerprints scanned for the background clearance. We regret any inconvenience or delay this may cause you in your certification process. For more information, call Dr. Munro or Dr. Karraker.
