Welcome to the Home Page of the Division Sciences at Lindenwood University. The Lindenwood University Sciences Division offers undergraduate programs or curricula in Anthropology and Sociology, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Earth and Enviromental Science, Mathematics, Pre-engineering, and Psychology. We also offer minors in many of the programs listed above.

Critical thinking skills and data-based decision making are stressed in the study of sciences. Our mission is not only to effectively convey the content of Mathematics and the Natural and Behavioral Sciences, but also to nurture a scientific attitude towards investigation and discovery. We consciously balance basic science with applied science, and the study of the human being's mind with stewardship of the external environment. Our intent is to steep our students in productive use of the latest technology, while never overlooking the primacy of human thought, value and culture.

The Sciences building, Young Hall, contains several state-of-the-art high-tech classrooms. In these special classrooms, the students and professor in a class are able to search and study various Internet sites together and discuss their reactions and insights as they pursue the topic. At the same time, our science laboratories are being upgraded with the latest equipment and technology. These classroom facilities help boost the rate of learning in our science classes to its highest possible level.
