International Admissions Process
   

The admissions process is a simple one, but one that must occur in the following order.

I. Apply
A. This includes payment of Application Fee ($100).
 - Without this fee, Immigration and admission documents will not be sent out.
B. Please include all required documents.

II. Admission Granted or Denied
If you are accepted, you will receive an email with a scholarship proposal.

III. Presentation of Scholarship and Work Study Award
This comes in the form of an email. To accept, please reply to the email and say "I accept this scholarship proposal."

IV. Immigration, admission, and other documents sent to student.
A. Once you have accepted the proposed scholarship, a package containing your immigration paperwork (I-20, I-901 information, etc.), admission documents (admission letter and scholarship award), and other informative documents will be shipped through UPS to the address on your application. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THE ADDRESS ON YOUR APPLICATION IS CORRECT. ALSO, MAKE SURE THAT THE PHONE NUMBER ON THE APPLICATION IS CORRECT!
B. IF your application fee has not been paid, this package will not be sent. There are no exceptions to this rule!

V. At this point, you must make your appointment to gain your visa. Consult www.uscis.gov for more information.

VI. Alert the International Office of your visa status.
A. Please keep the International Office updated on the status of your visa. If you are denied, please let us know.
B. As soon as your visa is granted, please send us an email at international@lindenwood.edu.
Note: Housing assignments will not be secured until we know your visa is granted.
C. Graduate Students only: please also email ( rgoulart@lindenwood.edu ) at the School of Business and Entrepreneurship indicating that you visa has been granted.
NOTE: If you do not have your visa, the university cannot guarantee housing. You will not be placed in housing or be scheduled for classes until you have received your visa and the International Student Center has been notified. It is your responsibility to contact the International Student Center.

VII. Make Travel Arrangements.
A. You must arrive at Lindenwood by the start of your orientation program, listed in the academic calendar. (please refer to current Academic Calendar and the appropriate semester, quarter or Five-Term MBA program calendar).
B. Once you arrange your travel schedule, please inform the International Student Office of your travel dates by sending an email ( international@lindenwood.edu).
C. Graduate Students only: Please also send an email ( rgoulart@lindenwood.edu ) with your travel information to the School of Business and Entrepreneurship. If you do not arrive by the start of your orientation program, you may not be eligible to begin your term. (Note: for your return flight, do not schedule your departure before the end of finals.)

VIII. Arrive at Lindenwood University
A. Check in with the International Office. See Academic Calendar for arrival dates. (Please see the appropriate semester, quarter or Five-Term MBA program calendar).
B. Participate in your orientation program See calendar for orientation dates. Graduate students, check here for orientation schedule.
C. Meet with your advisor.
D. Start Classes!

Important Deadlines:
Admission for the undergraduate Fall Semester is June 1st.
Visa Deadline July 26th.

Application Deadline for Undergraduate Spring Semester is October 1st.
Visa Deadline December 20th.

Application Deadline for Undergraduate F-1 transfer students already in the United States is July 1st for the fall and December 20th for the spring.

If you do not have your visa by this date, the university cannot guarantee housing. You will not be placed in housing or be scheduled for classes until you have received your visa and the International Student Center has been notified. It is your responsibility to contact the International Student Center.
