The museum holds the earliest artifacts, furniture, paintings, photos, books, letters, and personal items from Mary Easton Sibley's school for young ladies. The school, founding in 1827, was moved to a log house built in a grove of linden trees called Linden Wood. This site is at the main campus of Lindenwood University.
