NonToxic is a juried exhibition featuring artworks that explore the delicate and fine lines separating the toxic from the non toxic that can happen in the everyday. These lines can serve to unite and protect us, or divide and separate us. Toxicity can be environmental, chemical, or political. Corporations and food, relationships and even our own views of ourselves can be toxic. The artists represented in this collection range from sculptors to draftsmen to graphic designers. What they have in common is they are all students at Lindenwood University. The show is hosted at the Lillian Yahn Art Gallery, sponsored by the St. Charles Art Association. The show was jurored by Zachary Smithey and Jennifer Baker. It was curated by Erin Jameson Brown and assistant curators Ashleigh Wallen and Jordan McLaughlin. It runs from January 3rd through the 31st.
