Head Coach: Carrie Nichols
Carrie Nichols
is currently in
her sixth year
as the head
coach of
Lindenwood
University's
Cheerleading
program.
Previous to
coaching at
Lindenwood,
Nichols was the
head coach at
Francis Howell
High School for
five years as
well as a
professional
cheerleader for
the St. Louis
Swarm.
Nichols grew up
in the St. Louis
and enjoyed the
aspects of high
school
cheerleading
while attending
Rosemary High
School. Her
previous
collegiate
cheerleading
experience
includes four
years at
Northwest
Missouri State
University.
While attending
Northwest
Missouri,
Nichols received
a Bachelor’s
degree in
Elementary
Education and a
Masters degree
in Physical
Education and
Health.
Some of the
Highlights of
Nichols
cheerleading
career includes
being recognized
as a high school
and collegiate
All-American,
placing 4th at
the NCA national
championships,
and winning the
USA national
championship.
Along with her
many duties as
the head coach
at Lindenwood,
Nichols also
judges national
level
cheerleading
competitions and
speaks at
coaches
conferences
across the
country. She
has served as a
NCA head
instructor for
the past 13
years and
currently serves
as an NCA State
Director setting
up camps and
championships.
In her free
time, Nichols
enjoys aerobics
and spending
time with her
husband and two
children.
