The Lindenwood University Field Hockey Program
The Lindenwood University field hockey program combines hard work, dedication, and teamwork to make up one of the best field hockey environments in the country. Under the tutelage of head coach Jack Cribbin, the LU field hockey team has become one of the most competitive squads around. The Lion’s have a very diverse roster with players hailing from places such as Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, California, and even Canada. The program is well supported by the University, who with the help of the Communications Department and LU-TV, even televise the team’s home games each season to over 50,000 people in St. Charles County.

The season begins in late August and lasts until early November. The team plays a national schedule of around 15 games per year. The LU field hockey team will be celebrating its eighth season as a program in 2007. The team became "Road Warriors" in 2005; traveling extensively to other states to play highly regarded teams in order to gain more national exposure. It has also evolved into part of what might be called "Program Pride"; going to different universities, and experiencing life on the road together as a team, which is one of the best parts of being a member of the Lindenwood University field hockey team.
The field hockey team makes use of the recently renovated 6,500 seat, Lindenwood Stadium, located right in the middle of campus; for all practices and games. The University spent 5 million dollars upgrading the stadium in every aspect in 2005. See first-hand the turf that's the toast of the town. The playing surface is FieldTurf, which looks like grass, feels like grass and plays like grass, and the players love it. You will too! In addition to the field, the team has a state of the art locker room, and training facility, to provide the players with the best equipment they need to succeed.
