Council for Higher Education AccreditationLindenwood University is a NC-SARA approved institution. The State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement establishes comparable national standards for interstate offering of postsecondary distance education. SARA is overseen by a National Council and administered by four regional education compacts.

Business and Entrepreneurship

Accreditation Council for Business Schools and ProgramsLindenwood University's course-based Business programs (including our daytime BA and evening MBA Plus programs) are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs accreditation. ACBSP is a specialized accreditation association for business education supporting, celebrating, and rewarding teaching excellence. “The association embraces the virtues of teaching excellence and believes that scholarly research and inquiry activities facilitate improved teaching.” This specialized accreditation is in addition to our current accreditation with Higher Learning Commission. Lindenwood University–Belleville has recently been granted recognition as an institution and recognition as an education unit by the Illinois State Board of Education. It has been granted authority to entitle undergraduate students for Illinois endorsement in the programs of Elementary Education 1- 6 and PE K-12. School Counseling PK – 21 was also approved by the Illinois State Board of Education. These programs will begin in the fall of 2017 academic year.
