The Criminal Justice Department at Lindenwood University-Belleville has secured an on-the-job training opportunity with Children’s Home and Aid Society with the Redeploy Illinois Program, a program to maintain youth in their communities with supportive services, rather than corrections.

Matt’s Café, located on the bottom floor of Old Main Hall at Lindenwood University-Belleville, recently reopened to students, faculty, and staff now with expanded space and new food and beverage options.

Dr. Bradley Hart will join the Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at Lindenwood Belleville this fall as the campus’ first faculty member in chemistry. Hart graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a master’s and doctorate in organic chemistry.

Lindenwood University-Belleville will host an interdisciplinary discussion entitled “It’s Election Time” from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 8 in the Belleville campus’ Welcome Center, 2600 W. Main St. The focus of the event is to provide a platform for the students and community to debate various topics surrounding the upcoming election.

The 2016-2017 Speakers Series has been announced for Lindenwood University-Belleville. The goal of the Speaker Series is to bring accomplished and knowledgeable individuals to Lindenwood Belleville so that students, faculty, and the surrounding community can be exposed to a broad range of contemporary topics and events. The Speaker Series is intended to inform, educate, and inspire those who attend to pursue personal and academic excellence as citizens of a global community.

Lindenwood University-Belleville recently held the dedication of the Alice E. Ackermann Welcome Center, honoring the late Belleville resident, teacher, and musician, Alice Ackermann.
