Among her many accomplishments the past year, a Lindenwood Belleville criminal justice student not only secured a prestigious internship with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Illinois in Fairview Heights but also wowed her supervisor by doing her job to a high standard he said has rarely been equaled.

Lindenwood University is seeking comments from the public about the university in preparation for its periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency. The university will host a visit November 6-7, 2017, with a team representing the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).

As the school year rapidly comes to a close, Lindenwood University-Belleville students had a chance Thursday, April 27, to share with others some of the exciting things they’ve learned. Students from the Humanities Division presented highlights of their work in a public showcase held in the classrooms and hallways of the West Wing. Visitors walked from room to room to see poetry readings, short films, graphic artwork, script recitals, and many other forms of art.

We are excited to announce Lindenwood University’s new housing management software, StarRez, at the St. Charles and Belleville campuses. StarRez is an industry-leading and comprehensive student housing solution that includes online housing applications, online roommate and room self-selection, roommate matching, social media outlets, and much more. The days of long lines are over! Now, students have the latest technology at their fingertips. They can access the system through their computers and an array of smart devices.

Lindenwood University-Belleville is moving to the front of the exciting and rapidly evolving game design industry with the addition of a couple of renowned instructors in their field, in which the university will begin to offer coursework in the fall 2017 semester.

A five-person team of Bryce Lickfield, Haili Loftin, Shelby Basham, James Bost, and Katie Scoopmire came out on top among teams of Lindenwood students after a grueling, day-long battle in Lindenwood University-Belleville’s Fourth Annual Judge Annette Eckert Mock Trial Competition.

Fairview Heights Police Chief Nick Gailius, a Lindenwood University-Belleville graduate, has been named the Police Chief of the Year by the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police. Gailius earned a master’s degree in business administration from Lindenwood Belleville in 2012 and said it’s been invaluable to helping him do his job.
