Key Dates in Lindenwood’s History

  • 2003 – Lindenwood establishes new extension campus in Belleville, Illinois; launches Master of Arts programs in education and educational administration as well as programs offered through the school’s College for Individualized Education (LCIE) (evening-based, accelerated format for working adults)
  • 2009 – begins offering daytime, semester-based classes
  • 2011 – Lindenwood Belleville granted full campus status by the Higher Learning Commission because of its ability to offer all traditional university services on location; accepted for membership in the NAIA
  • 2013 – joins American Midwest Conference (athletics); Jerry Bladdick named first President of Belleville campus; opens new women’s dormitory; holds first commencement ceremony
