Adding an Emphasis to Your Degree

Lindenwood University-Belleville’s business administration program is unique in that you may choose to add an area of emphasis to your degree in either accounting, finance, human resource management, international business, management, marketing, sport management or supply chain management. This emphasis allows you to take more courses in one area of business that you find most interesting. Simply take 12 credit hours in one of these areas from among your business elective courses to add the emphasis.  

What to do with a Business Administration Degree

The sky is the limit when it comes to careers for a business administration major! Upon graduation, you’ll be prepared to start in an entry-level administrative position in almost any business or establish or manage your own small business. Sales managers, administrative services managers, auditors, market research analysts, and event planners are just a few of the positions graduates find.

 The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that the employment of business occupations will grow eight percent through 2024, adding about 632,400 new jobs to the market. The median annual wage for business jobs is higher than most occupations, totaling $64,790 in 2014.
