Library Instruction

The Library is dedicated to providing services and resources to ensure students have access to and the knowledge necessary to find, evaluate and disseminate information. Information Literacy Instruction (ILI) supports what students are learning in the classroom and helps to provide them with the skills necessary to complete University level assignments and research while also strengthening their critical thinking and career building skills.

We offer many options for integrating Information Literacy into the classroom. Please fill out the Library Instruction Request Form in order to schedule an ILI session for your students.

Each academic division/department at Lindenwood University-Belleville is assigned a professional librarian liaison who works with faculty to discuss the research and curriculum needs of their division or department; library resources or services; library instruction programs; and collection development recommendations. The Library Liaison program provides faculty and students with a personal contact to whom library-related issues and questions may be addressed. Faculty and students are welcome to contact any librarian regardless of the division or department assigned; as the program was created to facilitate communication, not to restrict it.
