Human Resource Management

Business ClassroomStudents pursuing a degree in human resource management will acquire skill in negotiation, compliance, recruitment, training and leadership.  The human resource management degree allows students, upon graduation, to enter any job that involves overseeing department functions and managing employees.  Human resource managers are expected to have solid communications skills and decision-making capabilities based on analytical skills and critical thought processes learned in their degree program.  The human resource management degree program produces well-rounded business managers prepared for a wide array of business careers.

Our faculty members bring a wealth of professional and academic experience which gives them the capability to blend theoretical concepts with real-world applications to give business students a diverse and useful education experience.

Some possible career paths in human resource management are in staffing/recruitment, training, compensation and benefits, health and safety in the workplace, labor relations and many more.  Human resource management graduates will have the theory and skills to supervise employees of various ages, personalities and cultural backgrounds while working to make the workplace more productive, with less turnover and increasing performance by improving results.  A human resource manager is very much a people-oriented job.
