Counseling Class
Our students greatly appreciate a faculty who have
real-world experience in the mental health field.

General Advising Helpers assist our students to find information about many areas of need including how to access and use student email, student portal, ordering books, etc.

The Counseling Program at Lindenwood uses the American Counseling Code of Ethics to guide appropriate behavior and delivery of counseling services.  We have more specific resources for professional counseling in our Professional Counseling Advising Helpers.  Likewise, we have more specific resources for school counseling in our School Counseling Advising Helpers.

As students near the end of their program, they must complete a professional counseling internship or a school counseling field placement.  The guidelines and information for internship can be found at Internship Advising Helpers and the same for field placement can be found at Field Placement Information Advising Helpers.

We want to assist our students take the next steps after graduation to receive their licensure and certification. Professional counseling students can find Illinois and Missouri licensure at Professional Counseling Licensure Information. School counseling students can find Illinois and Missouri certification at School Counseling Certification Information.
