Do I have to attend?
Yes, all first-year students are required to attend this program. Mandatory events will be held August 22–23 and optional events will be held on Saturday, August 24, and Sunday, August 25.
I am living on campus, when will I move in to my residence hall?
You will move in on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Check- in takes place in the Student Services Office, located in the Administration Building on the lower level, room 102.
I am an athlete playing a fall sport.
All coaches are aware that all first-year students must attend the FYE and are excused from practices during FYE. Mandatory FYE events will take place on Thursday, August 22 and Friday, August 23 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.
I am a commuter. Do I have to attend?
Yes, all first-year students are required to attend this program in its entirety. You will check in on Thursday, August 22, 2013, in the Lindenwood Auditorium between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Orientation will begin at 10 a.m.
I am an international student. Do I have to attend?

Can my parents/guardians attend?
Parents/guardians are not able to attend the FYE events from August 22–25; however, they are all invited to attend the Parent Connection on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. The Parent Connection is an exciting program that was designed to introduce parents/guardians to Lindenwood University’s faculty, staff, and resources available to students. The schedule is:
2–3 p.m. - Coffee with the Dean
3–5 p.m. - Lindenwood University Connection
5 p.m. - Dinner with your student (optional)
(Tickets will be available during check-in.)
I am a transfer student. Do I have to attend?
All transfer students with fewer than 24 transferable credits who have not successfully completed a Freshmen Seminar course are required to attend the FYE. Transfer students with fewer than 24 transferable credits who have successfully completed a Freshmen Seminar course for credit are not required to attend the FYE.
