Jaya Dey is a visiting assistant professor in the Department of Economics at Saint Louis University, which she joined in August 2012. Her previous experience includes two years as an assistant professor in the Department of Economics and Legal Studies at Oklahoma State University. Her research fields are international finance, macroeconomics, Bayesian economics, and applied econometrics, and her research is focused on estimating the causes and transmission of business cycles.
Dr. Dey received her BA in economics from Patna University, India (2002), her MS in quantitative economics from the Indian Statistical Institute (2004), and her PhD in economics from The Ohio State University (2010).
