SB&E - Minors


Students pursuing majors in fields other than business may declare a minor in Business Administration, Economics, or Retail Merchandising. The requirements for each are set forth below:

Minor in Business Administration
Students from majors outside of the School of Business & Entrepreneurship may earn a minor in business administration by completing the following courses: ACCT 21010, ACCT 21011, ECON 23010 (or, if eligible, ECON 23020 or ECON 23030), FIN 32000, MIS 24000, MGMT 26032, MGMT 26061, and MRKT 35010. (24 credit hours total)

Minor in Economics
Students from majors outside of the School of Business & Entrepreneurship may earn a minor in economics by completing the following courses: ACCT 21010, ECON 23020, ECON 33025, and MTH 14100 and any other three courses selected from among the following: ECON 33020, ECON 33030, ECON 33040, ECON 33045, ECON 33050, ECON 33055, ECON 33060, ECON 43078, INTL 48040, or PHL 39000. (24 credit hours total)

Minor in Retail Merchandising
Students from majors outside of the School of Business & Entrepreneurship may earn a minor in retail merchandising by completing the following courses: RTAIL 15510, RTAIL 25520, MRKT 35050, RTAIL 35530, RTAIL 35535, RTAIL 45540, plus six credit hours of course work selected from the following courses: INTL 48010, MRKT 35020, MRKT 35030, MRKT 35040, MRKT 35060, MRKT 45060, or MRKT 45070. (24 credit hours total)
