Description:
If you own an XBOX or a Playstation 2 and would like to be able to place it on the network, you will need to register it with IT Services. One of the things you need to submit is the MAC address, which allows us to identify your console so we can grant it access. This guide will show you how to find the MAC address of your XBOX, XBOX 360, or Playstation 2.If you have a Nintendo Wii, please read this important notice.

If this procedure becomes abused, IT Services will have no choice but to not support gaming consoles on the network. In addition, the abuser(s) will have their Internet Connection privileges revoked for the entirety of the semester.

Nintendo Wii

The Nintendo Wii currently only has wireless connectivity as an option. As a result, we will be unable to register Nintendo Wii devices on the student network, as wireless devices are not supported.

Supposedly USB Ethernet adapters will be available starting in January 2007, which will be usable to connect a Wii to the network.

More information to come as we find it out. . .
