Communications and media professionals recognize Lindenwood University's Communications Department as the best of its kind in the region and one of the best in the country.

Lindenwood University Communications graduates get jobs and make careers in their chosen fields.

Channel 26, LUHE-TV (Lindenwood University Higher Education) is available to over 100,000 St. Charles cable subscribers. 89.1, The Wood, Commercial-Free Radio broadcasts at a range of approximately 50 miles covering almost the entire St. Louis area - a top-twenty market.89.1, The Wood (KCLC) broadcast from the new Spellmann Student Center, where studios are equipment with the latest digital electronics.

Lindenwood graduates can walk from our facility into any station in the country with a minimum of retooling.

Lindenwood University Mass Communication students can choose their areas of interest to study ranging from several radio and television emphases to management and marketing to sports information and public relations. Lindenwood's radio and televisions stations are the learning labs for future broadcasters. Virtually all on-air talent, directors, producers, and writers are students.

Lindenwood's Corporate Communication students study broadly in organizational communication, written and oral communication, as well as such business disciplines as marketing, public relations and advertising. Their career choices are equally broad, ranging from corporate work in public and media relations to agency positions in public relations and advertising. They may also choose from a wealth of positions in sales and sales management.

Most Lindenwood Communication's students serve internships in the St. Louis area, a market with major broadcasting, public relations, marketing, journalism, and corporate opportunities. This leads to invaluable experience and career networking - an opportunity not available at schools in smaller communities. Students wanting to learn sportscasting will hone their skills actually doing games.

The Lindenwood Sports Network (radio and television) annually broadcasts dozens of college and high school sporting events including the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis. Most Lindenwood Communication's students serve internships in the St. Louis area, a market with major broadcasting, public relations, marketing, journalism, and corporate opportunities. This leads to invaluable experience and career networking - an opportunity not available at schools in smaller communities.
