Dave Wang is an assistant professor with more than 15 years of experience in advertising, business-to-business communications, and educational marketing. Whether as an Art Director or as an Interactive Developer, his design portfolio includes an interesting balance of creative, strategic projects that bridge multiple medias.
He has a BFA in graphic design from Drake University and a MFA in communication design from Louisiana Tech University. As an educator, he reinforces the value of shared knowledge by encouraging students to collaborate and solve problems. He emphasizes communication in the classroom and integrates technology with an appreciation for the tools and techniques that allow students to become thoughtful, self-sufficient designers.
Dave Wang is an Assistant Professor in the School of Communications for the Interactive Media Web Design Program. He teaches a variety of courses that center on design for visual communication with emphasis on acquiring practical, real-world technical skills. Curent topics include: HTML5, CSS3, Responsive Web Design, Content Management Systems, Web Domains and Hosting, and the History of the Internet.
