You want to work in television news? Check this out.
The “Super Semester” is unique part of our journalism and mass communications broadcast emphasis curricula. Composed of 12-credit hours, the four-course cluster taken concurrently provides students with a “bootcamp” experience in the LUTV newsroom. In a lab setting, students learn the ropes of television news. They fulfill the role of writer, reporter, producer, anchor, videographer and editor for our live, 20-minute, newscasts produced three times a week. Students leave the Super Semester with a portfolio of on-air and behind-the-scenes work, preparing them for competitive internship opportunities and entry-level jobs in journalism. And did we mention—the Super Semester is FUN too?
