Kate Tessmer serves as the Department Chair for the Exercise Science Department and an Associate Professor. Dr. Tessmer earned a PhD in Exercise Physiology from the University of Pittsburgh, an MSEd in Physical Education-Exercise Science from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, and a BA in PE-Management from Blackburn College. She is also an ACSM Certified Health-Fitness Specialist. Dr. Tessmer teaches in the area of Exercise Science, focusing on physiology of exercise, exercise testing and prescription, research methods, and perceived exertion.
