G. Paul Corbin – Chair of Department of Military Science and Associate Professor of Criminal Justice. 


Professor Corbin earned his Master of Arts Degree in Sociology at Lincoln University of Missouri and has done post graduate work in Police Administration and Science at the University of Louisville, Northwestern University, the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Academy and the Senior Management Institute for Police. He is also a graduate of the U. S. Army's Command and General Staff College.  He gained teaching experience at the Missouri State Highway Patrol Law Enforcement Academy where as a certified Missouri Peace Officer and Standards Training (P.O.S.T.) Instructor/Instructor Trainer he developed and taught Criminal Justice and Administration Courses to thousands of Missouri law enforcement officers over a 17 year period.  He has also served as an adjunct professor for Northwestern University and the University of Central Missouri.  Professor Corbin brings professional experience to the classroom through his positions as a Captain and Director of Training for the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Chief the Nevada State Highway Patrol and Chief of the St. Charles, Missouri Police Department.  Additionally, he served honorably in the United States Marine Corps and the Missouri Army National Guard, where he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel of Military Police.  Professor Corbin joined the School of Human Services in 2004 as an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice.
