Dean of Admissions

Location: Lindenwood University-Belleville

Start Date: Aug. 26, 2013.

Purpose of Position:  A senior officer of the university, the Dean of Admissions will be a forward looking, visionary leader with great entrepreneurial, strategic and analytic skills, proven success in the areas of access and diversity, and finesse as a manager and collaborator. Able to galvanize a university-wide admissions effort that is, at its heart, student centered, the Dean of Admissions leads a dedicated and talented admissions team.

Duties & Responsibilities:  Reporting to the campus president and leading a staff of 20, the Dean of Admissions provides the strategic direction and leadership for a results-oriented admissions and financial aid program that is consistent with the goals and mission of the university. The successful candidate will oversee daytime undergraduate and evening and graduate admissions.

Position Requirements: The successful candidate should possess the personal qualities of integrity, intellectual curiosity, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, significant strategic and analytical capacity, technological savvy, a collaborative work style, and commitment to excellence.

Education Requirements: A candidate should possess a master’s degree (doctorate preferred).

Experience Requirements: A candidate should have a minimum of five years of experience in an administrative capacity in a higher education setting.

Hours/Days: Monday- Friday. 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Exempt/nonexempt status: Exempt
