Assistant/Associate/Full Professor - Psychology

Purpose of Position: The School of Sciences, Department of Psychology, at Lindenwood University, invites applications for a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor position in Psychology

Duties & Responsibilities:

Candidates must be available to instruct day, evening and online courses. In addition, candidates must demonstrate a commitment to teaching, scholarship, continuous improvement of curriculum, professional development, and university service, as well as academic advising and committee membership.

Position Requirements:  We seek a broadly trained developmental psychologist with a strong commitment to classroom teaching, advising, and guiding undergraduate student research. The ideal candidate will be able to teach human development, child psychology, adolescent psychology, behavior modification and the introductory psychology course. There may be opportunities to teach special topic courses, depending on the candidate’s interest and expertise.

Education Requirements: The candidate’s doctoral degree in Psychology must be conferred prior to August 1, 2016,  which is the beginning date of employment for this position.

Experience Requirements: Candidates must have a strong interest and requisite skills in teaching undergraduate courses, as well as mentoring undergraduate students.  Experience with online teaching is preferred.

The report contains information regarding campus security and personal safety, including topics such as crime prevention, public safety authority, crime reporting policies, fire safety, disciplinary procedures, and other matters of importance related to security on campus.  The report also contains information about fire statistics in LU residential facilities and crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Lindenwood; and on public property that is within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.
