All students of French are welcome to join the French Club, Le Cercle français, and participate in the many cultural activities it organizes. First of all, there is the weekly Table française, where anyone interested in practicing their French in a relaxed setting can come have lunch and chat. Students of all levels, as well as native French speakers and several faculty members from other domains have enjoyed this tradition every semester since 2001. In addition to the Table française, the Cercle français organizes activities such as the following:
Viewing of French-language films on campus
Trips to area cinemas to see French-language films together
Trips to area theatre events where French-language productions take place
French food potluck dinners
Singing traditional French carols at the Boone Home Christmas Walk
Making food and providing entertainment for the Annual International Festival
Volunteering together at the St. Louis International Institute's Festival of Nations
