General Education Requirements
|

|
|
All LU undergraduate students, regardless of major, must meet the general education requirements of the university. Every LCIE undergraduate major requires fifty-four (54) semester hours of general education coursework and fourty-five (45) semester hours in the core or major requirements. LCIE students meet these requirements through the cluster format (9 credit hours completed in twelve weeks). All LCIE students, regardless of transfer credit, must take the Communications Cluster. The Social Science Cluster is offered in two formats. Social Science I is designed for the majority of LCIE majors. Social Science II is designed for gerontology majors, education majors and students planning to attend graduate school in the social sciences. The Cross Cultural requirement can be met through one of several clusters each of which includes Human Community as the anchoring course.
