Graduate (LCIE) Admissions:
The Lindenwood College for Individual Education (LCIE) program was designed specifically for working adults. Courses are scheduled on the quarter system and a student earns nine (9) credits during each quarter with a total of thirty-six (36) credits possible during a calendar year. Classes meet from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm one night per week. Class enrollment is limited to 12-14 students and writing and oral skills are emphasized. Courses are taught using the Socratic Method emphasizing student interaction; thus, students benefit from the experiences their peers bring to the class room.

Courses in the LCIE program are grouped in clusters. Each cluster consists of three related courses designed to offer the student the best combination for analysis and synthesis of the material.

Depending upon the Graduate Degree chosen, a minimum of forty-five to forty eight (45-48) credit hours are required, through the LCIE format. In most cases, four clusters (36 credit hours) are in the degree’s area of emphasis. The fifth cluster (9 credit hours) is an elective cluster. If required, the remaining 3 hour course is a capstone course, within which the student draws together all the knowledge acquired in their academic studies.

Each student is assigned a Faculty Advisor (FA) who guides the student through the program. The student is required to meet with the FA twice each quarter. The FA will provide an overview of the student’s progress, assist with course registration, and serve as a resource for the student.
