Databases
The following is a list of the most useful databases available to do research in this particular subject, some are general databases and others are subject specific databases.

Electronic Journals
The following electronic journals are available to Lindenwood University students (who are currently enrolled), faculty, and staff. Click on the journal title and go directly to each website to access most articles in full-text. In order to see a complete list of journals available, go to the Periodicals search page, type the title of the journal in the search box, and then click the search button to see which online database(s) that journal is indexed in.

Reference Tools
The following reference items may be used in Butler Library. These tools are located on the main floor, east side of the building, once you pass through the Cardy Reading Room. Items are always available for usage and information may be copied as needed.

NOTE: The subsequent items listed are just a few of the valuable resources available.

Periodicals
The following periodicals are available for use in Butler Library. Periodicals can not be checked out, but articles are allowed to be copied on one of two photocopiers available for public use. The Periodical room is located on the main floor on the west side of the building, once you pass through the leisure reading lounge. Back issues are located downstairs on the ground floor, in the center of the basement. In order to check the holdings (issues on hand) of a particular title, simply click on the following link http://bridges.missouri.edu/search~S5/s, type in the title of the journal and click the search button. To see if an issue has been received, click on the hypertext, latest received.

To see a complete list of journals available via online databases, go to the Periodicals search page , type the title of the journal in the search box, and then click the search button to see which online database(s) that journal is indexed in.

Curriculum Collection
The curriculum collection contains an excellent selection of juvenile fiction. The Newbery, Caldecott, Coretta Scott King, and Missouri Show Me award books make up the core of the collection. These books are located on the ground floor of the library, east end, and may be checked out for the allotted time period.

The McKissack collection is also a part of the curriculum collection. Patricia McKissack is a local author and artist who's donated original works to the collection.

Internet Resources
