About “Mupsee” the Mascot
To commemorate the hosting of the Fifth Annual MUPC conference, members of the Lindenwood community were asked to submit designs for a possible conference mascot. A total of six designs were submitted. A total of 51 student voters, drawn from Members of the Lindenwood Chapter of Psi Chi, the Psychology Club, and students who were enrolled in Basic Research Methods or Advanced Research Methods voted on their favorite design. The MUPC committee members then took the winning original design and made minor alterations to better fit the needs of the conference. Our conference mascot, “Mupsee,” will appear on a variety of different conference items including flyers, signs, t-shirts, and programs.

The flyer (see left) used to solicit mascot designs was shown to select upper-level courses in the psychology program as well as during a Psi Chi meeting.

The original mascot design chosen by student voters is seen to the right. The writing on Mupsee’s body appeared in Greek letters.

The MUPC committee members modified the letters on Mupsee’s body so that it can easily be identified. Mupsee’s feet were also outlined in black to help make them stand out.

The grey and outline versions of Mupsee were created in order to accommodate some printing needs for the conference.
