The Lindenwood University Theatre program will present "The Good Doctor" October 5-7 and Oct. 12-14. This production will be the first of the 2000-2001 season. The play is written by Pulitzer Prize winner Neil Simon and is based upon short stories by Russian author Anton Chekhov. It is a moving comedy that presents various vignettes.
The cast members are Jim Caskanett of St. Louis; Domingo de Obaldia of Panama; Louis Kline of St. Louis County; Tim Schaffer of Cary, N.C.; Michele Wilkerson of Houston, Tex.; Lindsey Calvert of Clancy, Mont.; Amanda Rosner of St. Peters; DeAnna Jarrell of New Orleans; Dustin Massie of Kansas City; and Justin Spurgeon of St. Charles.
The director is LU graduate student Larry Quiggins. Associate Professor Donnell Walsh is in charge of the set and lighting design, and senior Jennifer Read is costume designer. Associate Professor Niki Juncker will oversee decor, and the state manager is senior Ricki Marking-Camuto.
