The undefeated Lindenwood University women's soccer team beat McKendree College 5-0 at home on Sunday to win the Region V tournament and qualify for the NAIA national tournament in Miami, FL.
Inge Heiremans scored twice, and single goals were scored by Nadia Gaeggeler, Laura Wiedemeier and Laurie Fay. Heather Scott got the shutout in goal.
The Lady Lions, now 20-0, are seeded No. 1 in the country and will play St. Thomas (FL) at 9 a.m. Thursday in the first round of nationals.
