Lindenwood University and The Computer Junction, Inc., of Washington, Mo., have formed a partnership to provide graduate-level courses for school district technology directors and teachers. The courses will all be Internet-based, so that educators can take the courses at their own pace and convenience.
The courses have been approved by the University’s Department of Computer Science as well as the Education Department. Participants will receive master’s-level credit toward a President’s Certificate in Technology and/or a master's degree in education. Lindenwood University is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
The courses aimed at technology directors will provide information regarding the latest advances in technology of relevance to educators, while those aimed at teachers will be based on how to integrate technology into the classroom.
There are five courses available for K-12 teachers, covering how to use computer technology at every grade level. Lindenwood and Computer Junction will also jointly conduct for-credit and non-credit seminars for educators on various subjects throughout the year.
