Join us for Beanie Lions, packed house
February 4, 2000 Lindenwood University is expecting a capacity crowd Saturday February 5 for its inaugural Beanie Lion giveaway. You can check out the 9th-ranked Lindenwood women's team and the upstart men's team as they clash with Heart of America Athletic Conference foe MidAmerica Nazarene. MidAmerica's men's team is the top-ranked team in the country. LU will give Beanie Lions to the first 500 paying customers and the first 500 LU students. Leading the women's action is 6-foot center Jaime Bonney. She is one of the top 10 scorers in the country and No. 2 on LU's all-time list. Bonney averages 20.5 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. The Lady Lions are enjoying the best season in school history at 10-3 in conference play and 21-4 overall. In men's action, Lindenwood features high-flying Chad Moore and sharpshooter John Copple. Moore averages 18.2 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Copple, who has connected on 58 three-pointers this season, averages 14.9 points per game. The LU men are 9-4 in conference play and 17-10 overall.
