Lindenwood University sophomore diver Jessica Metcalf won the national title last week in two events at the NAIA national tournament at Simon Fraser, British Columbia--the 1m and the 3m. But it was her 3-meter score that has turned heads across both countries.
Metcalf set a national record in the 3-meter competition with a score of 555.45. She also won the 1-meter dive competition with 441.40. LU freshman Kelli Wind finished 3rd in the 1-meter event.
In the 100-meter breaststroke, LU junior Sarah Herholz was third with a time of 1:18.73.
Metcalf, Wind and Herholz all were named all-Americans by the NAIA, leading the Lady Lions to an 8th place finish overall.
