Lindenwood University will host a special Americana Concert Series on Sundays this summer at Old Peace Chapel on the grounds of the Historic Daniel Boone Home and Boonesfield Village.
The Americana Concert Series opens at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 24 with American Folk and Patriotic Music. Featured performers include the Lindenwood University A Capella Quartet; Ann Shields, organ; and Marsha Parker, interpretation.
Bach to Contemporary is the focus at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 8. Diane Love will be on vocals; Ann Shields and Dawn Hoy, organ; and Heidi Hesselrode, flute.
Traditional American Songs is the theme at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 22. Featured performers are Gary Campbell and Marcus Bell, vocals; and Ann Shields, organ.
The final concert will feature the Shape Note Singers at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 5.
Admission to the Americana Concert Series is free with a regular admission to the Historic Daniel Boone Home and Boonesfield Village. Cost is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors and $4 for children 4-11.
