Dr. Peter Gordon, professor of planning and economics from the school of Urban Planning and Development at the University of Southern California, will speak about Entrepreneurial Land Development on Thursday, November 1 on Lindenwood's main campus.
Gordon will speak about Sociology and the Economics of Centrifugal Land Development at 9:30 a.m. in Young Auditorium. At 1 p.m., an open discussion and question session with Gordon will be held in MAB Lounge. The final session will be a perspective on the sprawling debate, held at the LU Cultural Center, 400 N. Kingshighway. Start time is 7 p.m.
Gordon has been teaching and doing research at USC since 1971 and is currently the Director of the Master of Real Estate Development Program. He is the co-editor of the book, "Voluntary Cities" and has been published in most of the major urban planning, urban transportation and urban economics journals.
