Forum to address critical education issues

The River's Edge Policy Institute at Lindenwood University will host a forum December 10 titled "Critical Issues in Education."
Leaders from across state government and higher education will discuss character development in teacher education, the roles of federal, state and local government in education, the expanding role of the Missouri Coordinating Board for Higher Education and a new approach to student financial assistance.
Speakers include Lindenwood University President Dennis Spellmann, Senator Ted House and Representative Carl Bearden. The event, at the Lindenwood University Club on Old Friedens Road, begins at 2 p.m. and will run until 6 p.m. A reception will immediately follow.
