Lt. Col. Michael Bamber to run ROTC program

Lindenwood University has selected Lt. Col. Michael J. Bamber as director of its growing ROTC program.

Bamber will teach military science at Lindenwood, where 40 students are enrolled in the ROTC program for the fall semester.

“We’re thrilled to have Lt. Col. Bamber on board at Lindenwood,” said President Dennis Spellmann. “He has a genuine commitment to teaching and is very focused on growing the program.”

Lindenwood’s ROTC program was in the news recently when one of its original graduates, Eric Minor, returned from Afghanistan to present ROTC leaders with a flag flown there on July 4.

Lt. Col. Bamber is a graduate of the Field Artillery Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, the Engineer Officer Advanced Course, U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, Force Development Officer Course, Military Comptroller Course, Inspector General Course, and the Army War College. He received a BA in Economics and a Master of Business Administration degree, both from Xavier University.
