Homecoming Weekend full of activities

There is something for everyone this weekend as Lindenwood celebrates its 175th anniversary on Homecoming Weekend.

9 a.m.Parents and Alumni Association Meeting - President Spellmann will give an LU update. (VIP Room - Performance Arena.)

11 a.m. Luncheon highlighting the Honored Classes and 175 years of Educating Students. (VIP Room—Performance Arena) This event is for the alumni and will showcase Lindenwood throughout the years.

12:30 p.m. Dedication of the Spellmann Center and the Presentation of the Sears Director’s Cup. This is an exciting time for Lindenwood as we officially open the Spellmann Campus Center. Lindenwood will also be presented the Sears Director’s Cup for excellence in Athletics.

1 p.m. Daniel Boone Home: Take a guided tour of the historic Boone Home, designed specially for the Alumni.

1:30 p.m. Football Game: LU vs. Graceland University. Come cheer the football team on to victory and enjoy the entertainment of the Spirit Band, Cheerleaders and Lion Line Dance Squad. Winners of the Dorm Decorating Contest and the banner contest will be announced. Cash prizes donated by the St. Charles Alumni Club. This year’s Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned by a distinguished alumna from the Class of 1927.

5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Alumni Gathering/Appetizer Party: Take a moment to enjoy visiting with Alumni from other eras. A nice selection of wines and heavy appetizers will be available. Then stay and watch the students as they celebrate with their Homecoming Dance. Location: Lindenwood University Club.

5:30 p.m. Women’s Soccer - LU vs. Graceland University (Harlan C. Hunter Stadium)

7:30 p.m. Men’s Soccer – LU vs. Graceland University (Harlan C. Hunter Stadium)

7:30 p.m. Moon Over Buffalo, Jelkyl Theatre
